“Educational Communities of Inquiry” chosen for ERIC Index

On Tuesday, June 18th, “Educational Communities of Inquiry“, distributed through IGI Global, was chosen for indexing in the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) Index.

This is a great accomplishment for the title, as a whole, and for Andreas Brockhaus, Ian Porter, and other HCDI faculty members at UW Bothell who contributed their work for their chapter, “Fostering Social Presence in a Blended Learning Faculty Development Institute“, in this book.

We here at UW Bothell are excited about this opportunity and for the recognition our faculty members are receiving for their hard work, valuable research, and dedication to higher education.

The Education Resources Information Center, or ERIC for short, is an online digital library and database that is comprised of education research and information. ERIC provides a “ready access” to education literature to support the improvement of practice in learning, teaching, educational decision-making, and research.

Its mission is to provide a complete, intuitive, searchable, Internet-based bibliographic and full-text database of education research and information.
