This is a great opportunity to write about the work you do, the successes you have had and challenges you face, and to build some relationships with faculty. This six week “class” is offered by the @ONE Network out of California and being led by Michelle Pacansky-Brock.
The format is simple and offers a low stakes way to get out on the internet and share ideas with others. The result of the project will be a lot of faculty sharing and the opportunity to read and interact with other educators.
Here is a description of the project from the @ONE Site:
Those who sign up for the “Club” will receive a new blog prompt each Friday and write a post in response to that prompt. Participants will share their posts on Twitter with #CCCWrite and engage with each other’s work through blog comments. This program is offered to:
- demystify blogging, which is still an obscure concept to many educators;
- improve the digital presence of educators;
- model the use of social media for professional growth;
- and facilitate the discovery of the educational value of digital writing.
It starts on January 26th. If you are interested in looking at it a bit more in-depth, or signing up, here is the website.
