It is that time again! Global Accessibility Awareness Day (May 16), a time to learn and share about accessibility and celebrate our diversity.

Wednesday, May 15

1pm – 2pm Web Accessibility Training

Location: UW1-103

Facilitator: Ashley Magdall

In honor of Global Accessibility Awareness Week, the Web Team will be hosting a web accessibility training for all content editors and publishers.

This event will be different from the past GAAD web trainings in that we will only focus on accessible content design/layouts. Accessibility checklist print outs will be available at the training if trainees wish to review best practices.

  • Common content design mistakes here at UW Bothell (~10 min)
  • Review example inaccessible and accessible pages (~20 min)

Thursday, May 16

10am – 4pm Streaming GAAD Events from UW Seattle

Join us in the second floor of the UWB/CC Library to view great presentations that will be streamed via Zoom. There will be a lot of great topics such as Accessibility Assessments, WCAG 2.1, Learn about Assistive Technology Devices, Accessibility in Work Spaces, Video Accessibility, and many others.
