A Walk in the Open

July 15, 2019 @ 8:00 am - July 19, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

OER, or Open Educational Resources, are materials that are made available to students with at no cost or materials created by faculty that are shared openly across the internet. They may be text documents, videos, audio files, or images created by other faculty, students, or groups of people. They may be well curated like the Kahn Academy math videos on YouTube, or they may be floating out on the web and less easy to find. This short course takes you on a brief hike through some of the places you may find them and how to add them to your course. You will also wander into some examples created by your colleagues. Please join us for about 20 minutes of learning each day for a week.

This class is part of our week-long online course offerings.
