Resolution: Ask for Help More Often

I still hear faculty say they never knew we had a webpage devoted to students using Canvas and another for faculty using Canvas. Sometime, I hear them say that they never even knew our Learning Technologies team existed. These days, we don’t have an information problem, we have a communication problems. Getting the right message to the right people is very challenging. We are all busy.

Here in Learning Technologies we are always available to help. You can call us or email us. You can walk into our offices or we will happily visit you in yours. Sometimes looking for a webpage to find an answer is not what is needed. Sometimes you need a human voice. Sometimes you just need to sit next to someone. We are always here to help.

We can quickly set up a Zoom meeting and share our screens with you to answer questions or you can share your screen with us so we can see what you are working on. We are trying to improve how we make ourselves available to faculty and the various ways we support teaching with digital tools and classroom technologies. From our summer eLearning Symposium to our quarterly Canvas, Coffee, and Cookies, we are trying to reach out more. We encourage you to reach out to us when needed.
